Invasive Peel
An invasive peel is a type of cosmetic treatment that involves the use of chemical substances to remove the outermost layer of skin. This process is also known as chemical peeling or derma-peeling, and it is typically used to treat various skin conditions such as acne scars, sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles.
During an invasive peel, a solution is applied to the skin which causes the dead skin cells to slough off, revealing smoother, younger-looking skin. Depending on the strength of the solution, the peel can be superficial, medium, or deep.
Superficial peels are the mildest form of invasive peels and are great for treating minor skin imperfections. Medium peels are more intense and can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines, age spots, and acne scars. Deep peels, on the other hand, are the most powerful and can be used to address more severe skin damage such as deep wrinkles and sun damage.
